Brian McKinney – Creative Consultant, Internet Strategist

A thirty year veteran of the advertising, marketing, and corporate communications industries, Mr. McKinney held the position of creative director at two Dallas based corporate communication firms and has managed, and produced projects in all media formats including; Internet, interactive multimedia, print, audio, video, film, traditional and digital photography, and live events.

He has worked as an Internet Strategist since 1995 when he was hired to manage corporate Internet, Intranet, Extranet strategy and implementation for Bristol Hotels & Resorts when it was the largest Holiday Inn franchise owner in the world.

Additional Internet experience includes:

  • Served as vice president of e-business strategy at Rare Medium, Inc., a publicly traded international Web services company headquartered in Dallas, Texas, where he was responsible for Internet strategies for high profile clients including; Wyndam Hotels, Neiman Marcus, Home Interiors & Gifts, Dallas County Community College District, Corporate Express, Forbes Magazine, and Tivo.
  • Developed core set of strategic initiatives for Select Payment Processing, a company specializing in ACH based payment processing products and services. Primary areas of focus included the development of online and offline marketing communication strategies and advertising content designed to promote the launch one of the first all electronic Internet check services in the U.S. Select Payment Processing was later purchased by banking services provider Jack Henry, Inc.
  • Developed content strategy and managed the content development for NewEnergy.com, owned by Constellation Energy, the largest supplier of commercial electricity in North America (Fortune 200).
  • Developed comprehensive Internet strategy for hillwood.com, the largest real estate development firm in Texas and for alliancetexas.com, the Web presence for AllianceTexas, a 17,000-acre master-planned, mixed-use community located in north Fort Worth developed by Hillwood, a Perot Company
  • Developed client facing Internet marketing strategies for New Media Gateway, a digital technology firm whose client base includes over 80% of the Fortune 1000.
  • Managed texasford.com, a statewide Internet presence for over 250 Ford dealerships across the State of Texas.
  • Managed operations of the Web development and digital media department for First ROI a marketing agency serving over 400 community banks and credit unions located across the United States where his team won the “Best in Class” Award for Banking from the Interactive Media Council.
